Do you like weapons? We got weapons!
Do you want to keep them in tune with the Minecraft universe? We got weapons in tune with the Minecraft Universe!
Because we got Balkon’s WeaponMod! At first glance, it may seem dull, and with pretty basic weaponry, but try it out and you’ll soon realize that there is some solid work behind this mod!
Important: this mod requires Minecraft Forge.
Weapons are masterfully created, requiring you to load them, allowing you to aim them, and use them in all kinds of cool ways!
This mod has the usual suspects such as crossbows and flintlock rifles, boring you might say, but I disagree, they’re probably the most well-made versions of those weapons available in Minecraft.
But then you get to the cooler stuff, such as the spear. “It’s just a spear” you might think, and well, correct, but not only can you use it for some stabby action, you can also throw it at your enemies as well, with a cool spear projectile model that sticks in the ground and into surfaces, like arrows.
There’s also a flail that actually works like a flail, which means that you have to manually swing it around once you “activate” it. A boomerang is also to be found, which actually works as a boomerang and will return once thrown!
Halberds are also available for your use, and you can switch between attack modes by right-clicking. Default is using the axe part of the halberd, but right click once and you’ll switch to using the pick end.
Balkon’s WeaponMod also features blowguns with poison darts, throw-able dynamite, katanas, and much more. And best of all, it all fits the Minecraft style.
Be careful with the cannons though, they’re place-able and looks great, but I recommend only using them as decoration as my game crashed right after I actually shot one, as soon as the projectile hit something.
