The Derpy Squid Mod for Minecraft is a mod that a lot of squid themed features to the game. Biggest of all is the Derpy Squid Dimension, the world where every stupid squid in the Minecraft universe supposedly comes from, where they are raised in their derpy ways, and from where they are released upon an unsuspecting and peaceful Minecraft world.
The mod features new squid-based foes, among them new variants of the normal squid usually found underwater, such as the flying squid, baby squid, explosive squid, and the legendary extra-derpy squid. You can also craft new allies, such as the Derpy Squid Wolf, that when enticed with Golden Ink Sacks will follow you around and defend you from any dangers, or die trying.
There are also new weapons and armors to be crafted in this mod, most often made by combining ink sacs to create a Bunch of Yummy Ink Sacks, which then in turn can be crafted into the new Derpy Squid Armor or into Ink Sack Blocks, used in the mods new derpy weaponry.
To get to this new derpy dimension, you have to create a portal, and this is done by combining ink sacks and squid meat (a new drop from squids added by this mod) in a ways similar to this:
Simply place Golden Blocks of Squidness in a way similar to a nether portal, and then put a Block of Squidness inside it.

It is a pretty silly mod, but at the same time, also well made, and it includes a whole new dimension that is full of secrets and cool places, like a challenge tower and a mostly underwater underground. And it is also fun, due to the silliness of it all.
How to install the Derpy Squid Mod for Minecraft:
- Download the mod from below.
- If you don’t have Forge, then download and install Minecraft Forge.
- Open your minecraft folder (in Windows: Start -> Run -> “%appdata%\.minecraft”).
- Copy the mod files you downloaded to the “mods” folder found inside the .minecraft folder.
- Enjoy the new Derpy Squid Dimension, full of derpy and less derpy mobs and things.
