Chocolate Quest (also known as the Better Dungeons Mod) is a mod that adds a whole bunch of new stuff to the game, mainly dungeons.
Once this mod is installed, you will now experience a whole new and different game world. You will find more varied structures and interesting dungeons, so instead of them being the boring and bland vanilla dungeons, you will now discover grand castles, as well as pirate ships, and even new and better versions of the well-known caves or dungeons underground.
These new dungeons, mansions, and castles, are all filled with new loot and items to aid you in your journey, but they are also guarded by a lot of monsters dangers, so getting to the loot won’t be easy.
Among these dangers are entirely new mobs that would like nothing more than to end your quest into their homes. Dragons, skeleton bombers, spider bosses, mecha golems, and more, all await their turn to end your existence, and will gladly do so!
Other than pirate ships and castles, you will also discover snow castles and nether cities, and you’ll often find mobs exclusive to their areas.
The chocolate quest mod also adds new equipment to the game, as stated, among this, entirely new types of weapon, such as swords and shields (usable together), broadswords which feature a heavy wind-up attack, spears that can have special properties (such as fire), and guns, lots of various guns (and cannons).
Chocolate quest also feature a few new blocks with various properties, but they are not really the focus of the mod, so only a few. If you’re looking for more information about the mod, or info about specific mobs or pieces of equipment, check out the official Chocolate Quest Wiki, it will probably have the answer to any question you might have.
All in all, this is a pretty great mod that doesn’t clash too much with the vanilla version, the dungeons, castles, and ships all look like they could belong in the default world, and the new equipment and mobs are mostly in the style of Minecraft. The only issues with the mod, is that the generation of the castles and dungeons can be a bit iffy at times, so the trees around the places they are generated can be all kinds of messed up, and sometimes you will even find slightly floating castles, but it is no big deal.
