The RPG Inventory Mod adds a whole bunch of new items to the game, mainly focused around certain well-known RPG-classes such as wizards, hunters, and barbarians. It doesn’t just add items though, it introduces a whole new inventory system where you’ll be able to equip different capes, jewelry, gloves, shields, and pets. These usually grant you a variety of new bonuses, like more speed or health regeneration.
A neat thing about this is that everything you equip shows up on your character, so if you want to wear a nifty cape while you zip around town, you can! One cape even feature a pretty unique quality, as it will make you completely invisible, armor, weapons, and all.
You’ll also be able to craft your own jewelry through molds and smelting, and capes simply require wool and string, and then dye. To craft a cape, you’ll first need a white cape which is crafted like this:
After that, you can dye it like this, using any color you want:
The invisibility cape is a very rare loot item, so you can’t craft it yourself, you’ll have to get lucky.
There are three types of jewelry in this mod: rings, necklaces, and gloves. You can wear one necklace, two rings, and a pair of gloves.
To craft jewelry, you will need a mold forge, which is made by 8 brick blocks and 1 obsidian block, like this:
Right-clicking this new furnace will open the crafting screen, which looks like this:
Here you’ll need to put in some fuel which can be coal, a coal block, lava, or blazerods. After that you will need a gold block, for the base and majority of the piece. Then, a mineral of some sort is required, it can be a diamond, emerald, gold ingot, or lapis. Different mineral, different stats. Finally, you’ll need a mold of some sort, which can be for either a ring, a necklace, or gloves. Molds are only found as loot in chests, so you won’t be able to craft them yourself.
Here are the usual effect of the various minerals:
Gold = Speedboost.
Lapis = gives you extra weapon damage and weapon regeneration.
Diamond = some kind of healing, either improved healing or regeneration.
Emerald = gives you various utility buffs such as water breathing and mining speed.
The RPG inventory where you can equip all this new stuff (other than the normal stuff like weapons or armor) is opened by pressing “R” (default).
