Dota 2 Weapons Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4

This mod, which is still a work in progress, will add several new weapons and items to Minecraft.

These items come from the popular MOBA game Dota 2, so if you are familiar with that, you are sure to enjoy this mod.

All the items are textured to look like their Dota 2 counterparts, and they have the same, or new custom, sound-effects.

Important: this mod requires Minecraft Forge.

How the inventory screen looks in this mod, you can see your armor rating, attack damage and stats in the lower right corner:Dota 2 weapons mod

The goal of the mod is to add most of Dota 2’s weapons and items to the game, and so far quite a lot have been added, among them:

The infamous Blink Dagger, which will teleport you a short distance in whatever way you’re currently facing. It also negates all fall damage. It will have a cooldown of 14 seconds, but this is currently not applicable to creative mode, so it will have no cooldown. The distance it teleports you is up to 30 meters.
The cost of this is 2150 gold, a mana cost of 75 and a cooldown of 14 seconds.

Tango, used by every hero to heal up on the go, so they will be able to stay in the battle for longer, this item will use a tree (must be at least 3 blocks high to work) in order to heal you back up. It has 3 charges, and a duration of 16 seconds.
It costs 90 gold.

The Quelling Blade, often used by melee heroes to give them a nice and cheap damage boost in the beginning of a match, this item will destroy a tree when used actively, and passively it gives a damage boost of 32% to melee damage, and 12% to ranged damage. This currently applies to all mobs.
It has a cooldown of 5 seconds and cost 225 gold.

Another cool item added is Eul’s Scepter of Divinity, this item will, when used actively, engulf the targeted unit in a hurricane for 2.5 seconds. While in the hurricane, the target is invulnerable, while being unable to take any action. Left click to activate it on a mob, or right click on a block to activate it there, this enables you to target yourself.
Passively, it gives you +30 movement speed, and 10 intelligence (with each point giving you +13 mana and 0.04 mana regeneration.
The cooldown is 30 seconds, and its total gold cost is be 2800 gold.

With many more, such as Daedalus (which works as a bow), Butterfly, Hand of Midas (turns mobs into gold when you right click them, and increases your attack speed), Phase Boots (increases your damage and speed, and also gives you a small speed boost when used), mana and healing potions and more.

Weapons work like you expect them to, so ranged weapons shoot arrows, melee weapons works as swords and such.

You don’t equip and of the armors and boots to your character, simply having them on your hotbar (only items in your hotbar are counted, including items with a passive effect) will enable their bonuses. Items that has an active effect, such as Blink Dagger, are used by holding them in your hands and right-clicking.

The mod also includes several armors that increase your armor rating, as well as giving you passive bonuses.

Gold is acquired passively slowly, but you also get it for killing mobs, and by using the Hand of Midas on mobs.

To get the items, either play in creative mode, or find a shopkeeper (usually found in villages) and buy them from him.
