iChun’s Streak Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4

Another one of iChun’s smaller mods, the Streak Mod gives you and every other player a little “streak” after them when moving, like when Nyan Cat has a rainbow following it wherever it goes, the same happens to players when this mod is used (except, it doesn’t have to be rainbows, it can be anything you want it to be, as you can use your own images for the streak trail).

It is a fun little mod, and the newest version also adds a cool sprint effect to sprinting, so when sprinting you will look like you are in the Matrix or something to that effect (check out the screenshots to see what it looks like).

The mod is client side, so unless other players also use the mod, you will be the only one who can see the streak. The streak after your own character is also only visible in third person view (default key for this is F5), so it will not bother you in first person view, but you will still be able to see other players streaks. This also means that installing it on a server will do nothing.

It can be useful in following people, tracking them if you are right on their tail, or just for fun.

This mod requires both Minecraft Forge and iChun’s Util, which is a small plugin used by most of iChun’s mod, it is found below along with the download.

The trail that follows you is random, and so is everyone else, it is picked from whatever pictures you have placed in theĀ /mods/Streak Flavours/ folder, the mod includes quite a bit. If you want to chose which streak you want, and make it not random, simply remove all the other pictures from this folder (the folder should show up once you have played Minecraft with the mod once). This will however mean that all streaks will be the same, and remove some of the variance.
