The More Swords Mod adds, well, more swords to the game! If you’re not happy with the limited selection of weapons available to you in the default game, well then you’re in luck, because this mod adds plenty of new swords to the game! They’re mainly meant to be end-game items, and as such, will be weapons you will use upgrade to from your Diamond Sword.

However, that doesn’t mean they’re made completely overpowered, most of them have between 3-4 hearts of attack damage, and have no special abilities at first. That’s where the new enchantments come in! This mod doesn’t just feature some awesome kickass swords, it features new enchantments to take the awesomeness to the next level! Each sword has various enchantments attached to them, and some can only be naturally applied to certain swords.

The one completely overpowered sword is the AdminiumArk sword, but since you need end portal blocks and bedrock to craft that sword, it is not meant to be obtainable through normal play. It is only meant for admins or players with admin-like abilities (or players in creative), hence the name.

Here is a list of all the swords, their damage, durability, and how to craft them:

Here is a list of all the enchantments added by the More Swords Mod:

Ignite: Will set mobs on fire, dealing damage equal to that of the level of the enchantment. Hitting a creeper with this will automatically put in into ignition mode. It is capped at level 3, and can only be naturally applied to the Dawn Star sword.

Sparks: Will do 3 fire damage to every mob within 2.4 blocks when attacking a mob, and will set the mobs on fire. The target mob and the user of the weapon will not be set on fire, nearby players can however be set ablaze. It is capped at level 1, and can only be naturally applied to the Dawn Star sword.

Feast: Has a chance to restore 0-3 durability when attacking a mob. The amount restored is multiplied by the enchantments level. It is capped at level three, and can only be naturally applied to the Vampiric Blade.

Vitality: Will consume 256 durability when used (by right-clicking), and in turn the user is given several buffs like regeneration, instant-health, and extra hearts. It is capped at level 1, and can only be naturally applied to the Vampiric Blade.

Venomous Aspect: Will poison the targeted mob. Effect last to an amount similar to the level of the enchantment. Many vanilla mobs such as spiders, zombies and skeletons can not be poisoned by this effect, rendering it useless against those mobs. It is capped at level 3, and can only be naturally applied to the Gladiolus.

Absorb: Has a 5% chance to restore 0-2 hunger when hitting a mob. It is capped at level 1, and can only be naturally applied to the Gladiolus.

Keen Edge: Increases the damage of the sword by 1 for each level of the effect. It is capped at level 3, and can only be naturally applied to the Draconic Blade.

Scorn: Doubles the damage of the sword by 2 when used in dimensions other than the surface world. It is capped at level 1, and can only be naturally applied to the Draconic Blade.

Ender Pulse: Will warp the player to the place where they are looking when used (by right-clicking). It has a range of 18 blocks per level. Using this enchantment will damage the item by 50 durability points pr. use, and the player will take 1 damage in fall damage. It is capped at level 3, and can only be naturally applied to the Eye End Sword.

Ender Aura: Has a 15% chance of activating whenever the player is hit. When activated, the player will warp to any random mob within 30 blocks. There is no guarantee that the mob will be friendly. If there’s no mob to be found, players won’t get warped. It is capped at level 1, and can only be naturally applied to the Eye End Sword.

Greed: Has a 7% chance, multiplied by the enchantment level, to drop 1-3 extra points of exp when hitting a mob. It is capped at level 3, and can only be naturally applied to the Crystalline Blade.

Wisdom: Currently does nothing, is broken until further notice (don’t waste your resources on it).

Frozen Aspect: Will slow any mob it hits by 3 seconds per level. It is capped at level 3, and can only be naturally applied to the Glacial Blade.

Frost Wave: Will slow mobs within 2.5 blocks of the targeted mob for 1.5 seconds. The main mob and the user will not be frozen, however any nearby players will get affected. It is capped at level 1, and can only be applied naturally to the Glacial Blade.

Ascension: Will propel the targeted mobs upwards into the air when hit. Hitting the mob again before it hits the ground launches it higher by an exponential amount. It is capped at level 3, and can only be applied naturally to the Aether’s Guard.

Descension: Will cause the player to fall at a much slower rate than normal when activated. To activate the effect, press and hold shift. It is capped at level 1, and can only be applied naturally to the Aether’s Guard.

Consuming Shadows: Will blind the targeted mob for 1.5 seconds. It also has a 12% chance to apply the wither effect for a second. The values of these effect are increased with every level. It is capped at level 3, and can only be applied naturally to the Wither’s Bane.

Decay: Will apply the wither effect to the targeted mob for just under 4 seconds. It is capped at level 1, and can only be applied naturally to the Wither’s Bane.

Stealth: Will cause the player to become invisible when activated. Unlike the potion of invisibility, it won’t give off particles, has no duration, nor any time limit. Simply right-click with the sword in hand to toggle it on or off. Swords and armor will still be visible while this effect is enabled. It is capped at level 1, but can not be obtained naturally and is linked with the AdminiumArk (OP Admin sword).

Extinction: Will kill all mobs or entities on the map that are a type of the targeted mob or entity. For example, if you break a vanilla boat with a sword with this enchantment, all vanilla boats on the map should be deleted. It will not affect players. It is capped at level 1, but can not be obtained naturally and is linked with the AdminiumArk.

The mod also has some texture pack support from awesome packs such as Dokucraft or Sphax PureBDCraft, although the modder is not supporting them himself, so they might be out of date and simply not work.
